Thrown porcelain and stoneware vessels by British potter Norman Yap
About
Norman Yap is a ceramicist who throws stoneware or porcelain bowls, bottles and vases. His forms are simple but striking and rely on their size, clay and embellishments for their identity.
Entirely self-taught, inspired by a pottery related birthday gift on his 40th birthday, he is now the Vice Chair of London potters and edits LP News, as well as a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen. His work has been widely exhibited and commissions include the National Galleries of Scotland and Tate Britain where his work in stoneware was chosen to be sold during the Late Turner exhibition in 2015.
