About
In this two hour taster sessions, in the morning and one in the afternoon, you will learn what neon is, what it can be and how to make it. You will see glowing examples of neon art, expect mesmerising demonstrations of cutting, blowing, stretching, bending and fusing glass with flame, filling with gas and illuminating with electricity. You will experience the chance to have a go yourself under tuition and take home the results.
We have also set up a payment plan, so that you can spread the cost of the sessions over the next 4 months. You will find the option for doing this as you enter the checkout page.
Neon Workshops specialise in the development and manufacturing of neon lighting for the creative industry. Organising global shipping and installation of projects, they host an annual exhibition programme of neon related work, as well as a significant resource library on the subject.
Their regular delivery of neon sculpture courses, whether in their home city of Wakefield, or as Mobile Neon Workshops, continue to attract participants from around the world. From their two hour Neon Session tasters (like this one!), to One Day Intensives, from fun Neon Sundays, to ambitious Masterclasses and adventurous Mobile Neon Workshops, they can offer a range of inspiring and challenging courses to match your passion for neon.

FAQS
Who is this suitable for?
No experience of working with neon is necessary. You will be taught everything that you need to know and have hands on tuition throughout the day.
This intensive workshop should be seen as an educational experience rather than a commissioning day.
What is included?
You will have a go at cutting, blowing, stretching, bending and fusing glass with flame. By 5pm everyone will take home a piece of neon they have designed and helped make or direct in the making of.
