About
“We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it is forever." (Carl Sagan reflecting on the Butterfly Nebula).
Multimedia in the truest sense of the word, Nebula is the inaugural exhibition from the Kent-based collective Fight Club Contemporary. Utilising photography, collage, painting, drawing, textiles and installation this unique group of artists unite to reflect, investigate and subvert themes around the concept of new beginnings
For Nebula, a journey will be taken though troubled landscapes, the chaotic birth of the solar system, the anxieties and accelerated lost time of facing parenthood for the first time, how birth and the developmental process can be analytically fed and supported within a narrative environment, the patterns at play in particles and light and the endless unexplored potential for wild genetic mutation within the human form.
Exhibiting Artists: Fleur Alston, Elizabeth Dudley, Ali Farmer, Shirley-Ann Galbraith, John Woodberry and Angela Wooi
