In Wonderland, everything is handsome, colorful, soft; the flowers grow on the walls, exotic birds sing in their cage, a circus gives incessant representations, the big bear shines eternally, there is even a secret passage to a world painted full of pink ...
But the hours pass and the spell dissipates little by little; the flowers, the crown of the king or the hat of the jester turn out to be the remains of discarded stuffed animals, the birds leave one by one to sing when they realize that they will never be able to leave their prison, the magic wand of Hello kitty is covered by threatening clouds of furry bears, the clowns of the circus end up drunk in a huge gangster, the blue monster begins to give off lethal radiation and the entrance of the passage closes surreptitiously. A pity for those who have stayed inside ... 

Nathalie Rey is a French artist based in Barcelona. He has been working for a few years on the subject of false paradises. In the exhibition "Wonderland", all the works are made from processed soft toys. But behind that seemingly friendly aesthetic loosen small tragic fables about our modern world.
