About

Every month FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE receives new artworks directly from the artist in Los Angeles. Now the first Balloon Girls from 2024 arrived at the gallery.

After the auction record in London for a Banksy painting at Sothebys in London 2019, street art is increasingly becoming the focus of collectors.

Born Thierry Guetta in 1966 in Garges-lès-Gonesse near Paris, he has lived in Los Angeles since the age of 15. In 2008, the first exhibition "Life is Beautiful" took place in Los Angeles and quickly became a crowd puller with more than 50,000 visitors.

In 2009, Madonna commissioned Mr. Brainwash to design the album cover of "Celebration."

In 2010 came the breakthrough: Mr. Brainwash became famous through the multiple award-winning and Oscar-nominated documentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop", in which he accompanied his friend and street art legend Banksy at work. Through this, he also got into the street art scene and started creating art. From that moment on, Mr. Brainwash was a phenomenon, a superstar who conquered the art world at a record pace.

In February 2010, the second exhibition "Life Is Beautiful: Icons" opened in New York on 1,400 m2 and was sold out in a few days.

Numerous exhibitions followed in England, Germany, France and most recently in Seoul. A lengthy interview has just been published in Paris Match.

Using stencil graffiti as well as silkscreen prints and pop culture motifs analogous to Warhol, the artist has brought urban art from the street into the living room, merging both art movements. The surprising works mix garish colors in any combination with sometimes controversial content. The whole executed in mixed media with spray paint, painting and collage technique and enriched with ironic allusions, behind which often hides a political-social message.

FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE with locations in Nuremberg and Kitzbuehel has been focused for over twenty years on high-quality originals of pop art, street art and contemporary art.

The art collector will find original artworks, prints and unique pieces by Adam Handler, Alex Katz, David Shrigley, Kenny Scharf, Hunt Slonem, Orit Fuchs, Nathan Paddison, Fanny Brodar, Mel Ramos, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol or Julian Opie at realistic prices. But editions and prints by Harland Miller, Katherine Bernhardt, Tom Wesselmann, Sean Scully, Gerhard Richter, Ross Bleckner, Allen Jones, Thomas Ruff, Mel Bochner, David Gerstein, Peter Doig, Jeff Koons, Tracey Emin, Raqib Shaw, Derrick Adams and Robert Longo are also on sale.

Likewise, other hot street art artists represented in the gallery include Mr. Brainwash (Thierry Guetta) , XOOOOX, Punk Me Tender, BAMBI, Fringe Southafrica, Max Mavior and John Crash Matos.

Of course, the gallery also has design objects for sale by Maurizio Cattelan, Paul Smith, Richard Orlinski or Philippe Starck or Pierre Jeanerette.
