2018 THEMATIC FOCUS: UNSENSORED

Each of Moniker’s fairs are thematic, presenting an overarching vision, cause or message in a united effort via all of the artists, galleries, installations and expanded arts programmes that participate. This has ranged from the digital playgrounds and subversive funfairs to this year’s UNCENSORED, a wholly unfiltered and unrestricted celebration of the revolutionary elements of urban contemporary art. While not every exhibition within the fair will incorporate the edition’s specific theme – we prefer to give exhibitors freedom within the fair – each gallery and artist present has been personally invited to appear within Moniker’s walls. To ensure that visitors are presented nothing but the best in pioneering artistic talent from within the scene’s wildly differing and clashing subcultures, those exhibiting have been directly selected by Moniker’s team, who have collectively spent a decade-and-a-half immersing themselves within the ambition, collaboration and explosion of the urban art world. There is no open call for exhibitors; there is no buy in – only those making waves and pushing boundaries make it through the doors.
