Tom & Craig (a.k.a STATIC) invite you to join them for the eagerly anticipated launch of their latest collection of layered glass and hand painted multiples on paper.
With some tasty canapés from Mamounia Lounge and crisp cold beer from Orbit, you're in for a treat!
About
This new body of work - the "Modern Muses" sees the duo returning to their love of contemporary portrait painting first explored in their 2012 solo show Moments of Clarity at Jamie Wood's Scream gallery in London.This showcase will see the unveiling of 4 new original artworks created across multiple layers of glass which the duo use to 'float' screen printed and spray painted elements in front of hand built backgrounds - constructed from lego and 1000s of colourful feathers.
Alongside these 4 new works, Tom & Craig have created a set of hand painted multiples (HPM) on paper. These works and the accompanying Chinook Chandelier pieces are heavily textured and uniquely composed due to the creative process employed with 45+ elements going into the production of each one.
The show will run for 4 days and will also host a social media talk for artists by Franklin Boateng aka @kingoftrainers on the Saturday and a kids workshop with @mini_kicks on the Sunday.
