Pragovka Gallery cordially invites you to the exhibition of Alessandra Svatek: Matte Plans of Heroic Acts. The curator of the exhibition is Lucie Nováčková. The exhibition will run until October 21, 2021.
About
The starting point for Alessandra Svatek's work is the transparency of objects in which she uses dust drawing and tests the viewer's ability to observe. Her installation responds to places of The White Room: she is working with the refraction of light, reflection and deformation of the seen and the invisible, to convince the viewer of the impossibility of conceiving the world as a whole in any objective way.
The exhibition block Výstupy intimity is part of the year-long theme The Quiet Power of Uncool Being. Turning inward, towards the essence of artistic practice as an answer to the state of the planet and the ways we, as humanity, treat nature in the long term. The exhibit also reacts to societal othering, which falls under the topic of The Quiet Power of Uncool Being, caused by various factors - geographical distance from the centre, different life experiences, or variant ways of perceiving and living our lives.
