Drop in workshops to participate in an interactive clay city scape and story telling installation.
About
Join Collective Matter at the beginning of their 2 week take over of the BGV arches.
Using 4 tonnes of local brick clay, Collective Matter invites young people from the boroughs of Lambeth and Wandsworth to share their memories and experiences of the neighbourhood.
Learn clay building techniques, interact with others, and share your creativity and stories.
Visitors will also be encouraged to record a memory or observation about their local area at our drop at The Exchange at the Ragged Cafe. This will be added to the Material Action online archive and will be part of a bigger installation at the Tate Modern, documenting the changing demographic and histories of Nine Elms and Vauxhall.

Launched by Nine Elms Vauxhall Partnership and taking place across Beaconsfield Gallery Vauxhall, Gasworks and Pump House Gallery, Material Action is a public engagement residency with arts group Collective Matter. It will culminate in an interactive and participatory showcase within Tate Exchange at Tate Modern on 10 March 2017.
