About

Join textile and print designer Laura Slater for a two-day screen printing workshop based at The Hepworth Wakefield and The Art House, Wakefield.

Following on from Laura's popular masterclass in 2016, this workshop focuses on the screen-printing process in relation to garment design. The session will start by exploring the gallery spaces and capturing inspiration from the works on show through a range of experimental drawing techniques.

From this you will create a two-colour design suitable for printing onto a T-Shirt. We will head to the Art House Print Studio where the Screen Printing Process will happen. You will learn how to create a photographic stencil on silk-screen, mix colour and ink, and screen print to textiles.
