Market Day at The Hepworth Wakefield, in reference to our summer show, Stanley Spencer, we will be exploring the themes of gardens, landscapes and food. Come join us for talks and screenings, market stalls, street food, and live music.

About

This year The Hepworth Wakefield will be holding a Market Day on the 20 August, in the style of a village fete. The day’s events will include market stalls, street food, talks and live music. In reference to our summer show, Stanley Spencer: Of Angels and Dirt we will be exploring the themes of gardens, rural landscapes and food, and we are inviting artist proposals for games and activities with a twist.

Brief:
To make and run an activity / game for Market Day at The Hepworth Wakefield on the 20 August 2016. Taking influence from village fete games, we are asking artists to propose games with a twist. Examples of games include, but not limited to, Splat the Rat, Hook a Duck and Hoopla. The activity can be a repeated activity, drop in or a performance.
