The Red Head Gallery is pleased to present Magnetic Attraction: Modules and Components, an exhibition exchange with the Hermes Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This exhibition features artwork that consists of modular components and serial objects that create single works of art or generate conversations between multiple pieces/units. At stake: how is the conceptual ‘whole’ of the installed work much larger than just the sum of its material parts?
Founded by Emily Jones in 2013, HERMES formally became an artist co-operative in March 2015. Associated artists are:
Robert Bean + Barbara Lounder, Barbara Berry, Natalie Boterman + Matthew Carswell, Thierry Delva, Peter Dykhuis, Leah Garnett, Sara Hartland-Rowe, Andrew Hunt, Chad Jagoe, Adriana Kuiper + Ryan Suter, Frankie Macaulay, James MacSwain, Dan O'Neill, Mathew Reichertz, Fionnuala Reynolds, and Becky Welter-Nolan.
