Join us, for a gallery talk looking at Brian Korteling's exhibition, 'All that was Now'. The talk will include a discussion of the artist's work, particularly in the context of landscape painting as a genre.  The talk will take us back in time and across Europe to consider Italian renaissance painters, the Dutch School and, somewhat closer to home, East Anglian artists such as Cotman, Crome and John Constable.  We will finish the talk looking at contemporary artists and the ways in which they express their feelings towards the rural environment in abstracted paintings, based on the landscape.
