The most significant fixture on the contemporary arts calendar, the Venice Biennale kicks off on 9th May for its 56th iteration. To celebrate this occasion, London Art Studies is dedicating one of its lecture series to exploring the world’s oldest biennale.

About

Lecturer, Ben Street will be discussing its ongoing significance by looking at the long and radical history. The Biennale is a showcase for global artistic production – but is it still relevant? And how does a 19th Century exhibition model retain its significance in a 21st Century art world? Enjoy the art 'power hour' over a glass of wine at the Bulgari hotel.

This lecture is designed to appeal to both curious beginners and more knowledgeable art-lovers, hosted by expert lecturers, to equip you with what's hot in the art world.
