Returning to the city for its second consecutive year, Liverpool Contemporary Arts Fair will take place at the Royal Liver Building from 27-28 June. The two-day event will feature over 1,000 pieces of art from 40 high calibre local, national and international artists and independent art galleries.

About

The Fair will showcase some of most highly regarded British luminaries and artists of the 20th & 21st Century. For art enthusiasts and experts alike, there is an exclusive £2m exhibition by the much-loved British painter L.S. Lowy as well as affordable artwork ranging in price from £10 - £10,000 plus.

Leading local artists will be exhibiting including Deborah Butler who will be releasing her new collection of colourful abstract landscape paintings exclusively at the Fair. The event will include a range of visual art, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and glass work. Visitors can enjoy live demonstrations from UK landscape fine art painter Peter Hill, as well as Liverpool born portrait artist Anthony Brown.

Art Fair Director, Shirley-Ann O’Neill commented, “The event has grown significantly in its second year, we are expecting over 4,000 visitors, which demonstrates the demand for a contemporary cultural Art Fair in Liverpool. For those looking to visit the fair to snap up some affordable art, there is original artwork on sale from £50 to £10,000 plus. We have an exciting programme of events and curated tours. Entry to the Fair on the weekend is free for the general public”.

For families, Liverpool Contemporary has a free dedicated children’s area with lots of complimentary fun art activities to keep young artists entertained. There is also a restaurant and bar facilities so visitors can relax and soak up the atmosphere for an enjoyable day out.

Liverpool Contemporary launches on 26th June with a Charity VIP preview which will give an opportunity for private buyers, interior designers, collectors, press and VIPs, to view the collections in advance and to meet with galleries and artists to purchase art before it goes on general sale. The Fair is open for the general public Saturday 27th June and Sunday 28th June 10.00 to 17.00.
