In September, Chiado hosts the second edition of ”Lisbona Contemporanea” featuring 21 artists from around the globe. An exhibition of contemporary art curated by Marta Lock that will come to Lisbon on September 4th to lead the opening of this second edition of contemporary art.
“This exhibition is much more than a contemporary art exhibition, it is a global event, with the sharing of experiences and experiences” words of Gonçalo Madeira from Atelier Natália Gromicho, gallery that will host the event.
The artist selection was in charge of Marta Lock, among which Aleksandra Schmidt was born and lives in Germany, and in this edition she presents a set of magnificent sculptures, exclusively for this exhibition. From Italy we have several artists, especially Alina Ciuciu with a very intense surrealist painting, Angela Avenoso with mixed abstract technique, Beatrice Roman also presents an abstract work, Elena Rizzardi a fusion between installation and mixed technique, Enrico Tubertini is a renowned artist international with a very colorful and unique digitography; Giancarlo Mariniello shows a surrealist piece, Marius Ashblow will show a unique digital work, Osvaldo Moi with a sculpture made of resin in the shape of a snail, and Paola Presutti will close the selection of Italian artists with a figurative acrylic.
From Austria we have a surprising work by Annika Korbitsch in Oleo on canvas with a fusion of abstract and figurative and Marijana Vukovic with a landscape work.
From France we have Benoit Drouart and Virginie Gouarde with unpublished and very impressive works. From England we highlight the fantastic Mike Ferrell who has already exhibited 3 times in Lisbon and Hasti Sardashti with a mystical work.
The featured artist of this second edition is called Ioannis Kaiserlis and is from Greece and presents a very colorful, surreal and intense composition; also from Greece Maria Stamati with a unique work.
Doina Popescu was born in Romania and lives in Belgium, she is a very complete artist and proposes a very intriguing work.
From Germany we have 2 artists. Elke Dabisch and Gabriele Springer with exclusive and unpublished works.
The exhibition runs from April 4th to 17th at Atelier Natália Gromicho do Chiado, from 11am to 5pm.
