Artist Takeover, Week 22. Studio 73 introduces Lisa Pettibone

About

Exploring concepts relating to gravity and particle physics, Lisa’s work uses reflected and fluorescent light as a unifying phenomenon in her screen prints and photos. Primarily a sculptor and installation artist, she approaches printmaking as an opportunity to visually transform 2D paper into 3D artworks through cutting, bending and ink application. Lisa made two trips to CERN in Geneva (the home of the Large Hadron Collider), while on the Central Saint Martins MA Art and Science course, where she responded to an institution working on the frontiers of physics. She is currently art-in-residence at Mullard Space Science Lab (UCL) in Surrey.
