Life Drawing/Portrait Painting Class in Central London

Sunny Art Centre is one of London’s leading art institutions, located in central London. Our staff have been specialised in teaching art and organizing art events for over ten years. Our vast experience includes working on behalf of leading corporations such as  Selfridges & Co, Harrods, Giorgio Armani, Freshfields,  HSBC Bank, Royal Academy of Art, PricewaterhouseCoopers( P W C), ITV, SKY TV, BBC Worldwide, Victoria& Rolf,  amongst many others.

We invite both male and female professional life drawing models of all age and ethnicities. There will be varying pose times and, depending on the theme of the day, the model will either be nude or clothed. The same model will pose for four consecutive Saturdays to allow the students or artist to develop and complete their art work.

Suitability
The course is open to students of all abilities who wish to excel in their life-drawing and portrait painting abilities. It will be particularly useful for students who wish to create an outstanding portfolio for applying to an art college. It is also essential for anyone wishing to pursue art as a career.

What you will achieve on completing the course

Students will explore the beauty of the human figure, develop good observation skills, perfect the simple techniques of portraiture and learn how to express their inner artist. You will become highly proficient in drawing/painting the human figure with various mediums and in recording different poses in a relatively short space of time. In particular, you will understand how to paint/draw the human figure accurately, to make good use of light and tone in expressing a character and to build up a picture of their life through the use of settings and backgrounds. By the end of the course, you will have produced several high quality drawings/paintings to add to your art collection!

Materials
Please note that the classes do not include materials, except for paper for pencil drawings.

We have different materials including drawing and painting packs for sale at our studio. The drawing and painting packs are recommended by our professional art teachers, and when you purchase the materials at our studio our art tutors will also go through the materials with you prior to purchasing. 

Our art materials come at a very competitive price. We recommended you to purchase the materials at our studio as when you purchase art supplies on you own you might take the risk of buying the wrong materials.
