About

Join artists and printmakers Lino Print Club for this unique workshop, exploring both life drawing and lino printing in the beautiful surroundings of 2 Temple Place.

Against the backdrop of the incredible objects in our Unbound exhibition, you will gather your inspirations by sketching from a life model, before honing your designs and trying your hand at lino carving and printing. You'll make several prints on paper as well as printing your final design onto a beautiful tote bag that you can take away with you.

Don't worry if you've yet to try either life drawing or printing - this workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced printmakers alike.

Linocut, a derivative of woodcut, is a relief printing process in which images are carved from a piece of lino (think kitchen floor tiles). Once the image has been carved into the lino, it is coated with ink and pressed onto paper or fabric to create images.

Lino Print Club are LGBTQ+, disability and mental health friendly.

All materials will be provided. Please make sure to wear clothes which won’t be harmed if they come in contact with inks. Just in case.
