Joelle Tuerlinckx’s conceptual works often occupy a realm on the periphery of the visible. Made of found objects, drawings, display cases and photographs, her installations are more spatial experience than mere conglomerations of artefacts.
The work Le Tag—a line of white spray paint approximately 200 metres in length, renewed daily, on the grounds of the old Sickingmühle cemetery—is part of the cooperation The Hot Wire with the Glaskasten Marl sculpture museum. The cemetery is gradually undergoing transformation into a public park and sculpture garden.
