About

Larry Herman was an award winning photo journalist who lived locally to The Brady Arts & Community Centre in Whitechapel.

His daughter, film maker, Melissa Rees Herman has a collection of photographs, which are part of an unfinished project in Bangladesh, with female garment workers in Dhaka.  Herman documented the movement to improve appalling working conditions.

This exhibition also includes other photographs from his collection.

Melissa will be showing some of her short films; one is about her father Larry as well as part of the exhibition.
