About
Saratov Fine Arts Radishchev Museum, having the richest collection of classical Russian and Western European art, pays special attention to modern art trends in its work. Along with periodic exhibitions of modern artists in the museum, there is the Laboratory of the latest trends.
The laboratory of the latest trends is a space for studying, discussing and practicing in the field of contemporary art.
At family classes students are introduced to the work of Russian and foreign contemporary artists, with various artistic practices (installation, video art, action, art object, collage). In the framework of one lesson, the work of one artist is studied, and then participants create their own works in the same manner. This is a real art therapy, joint creative leisure of parents with children.
Lecture hall for adults introduces students to the main areas of art from the second half of the twentieth century (abstract expressionism, pop art, minimalism, land art, conceptualism), the latest art practices (action, performance, video art, graffiti) and features of the appearance and development of these trends in Russia.
Lecture halls are held in different formats: these can be lectures, discussions, meetings with artists, classes at exhibitions of modern art of the museum and galleries of the city.
Classes in the Laboratory of the latest trends take place on Saturdays: family classes begin at 14 o'clock, a lecture hall for adults at 16 o'clock.
