This UK premiere performance celebrates the exciting
partnership between two institutions offering the
highest level of dance training: Trinity Laban and
the Korea National University of the Arts (K-Arts).
The internationally renowned K-Arts Dance Company
(the equivalent of Trinity Laban’s Transitions Dance
Company) has thrilled audiences around the world
in prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center
(Washington DC) and in Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, and
Stockholm. Now we’re delighted to be able to
welcome them to Laban Theatre for their first ever
UK performance, and an enchanting Triple Bill that
offers a unique melding of modern contemporary
dance and Korean culture.
The intent and the beauty in the gesture of bowing
in Eastern Culture is explored in Bow. In Reflection,
the moments of connection we experience in life
are reflected in illusions of the body. The elegant
No Comment looks at the way silence can speak
volumes, with use of minimalism, skill and strength
in the Korean tradition.
