Located in Gardena California, Ascot Raceway was one of the best-known and busiest racing facilities in the country. J.C. Agajanian, auto racing’s legendary car owner and promoter, hosted car and motorcycle races five nights a week for thirty-three years. In addition to showcasing a selection of vehicles, including sprint cars, midgets, and motorcycles, the exhibition dedicates a room to motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel, who made his first televised jump at Ascot. Also included are historic objects, posters, helmets, leathers, trophies, and other memorabilia, all integral to the legacy of the Agajanian family and Ascot Raceway.
