This exhibition will present a collection of works ranging from paintings through to moving film, photography and collage. A common theme throughout their work is the process and journey of making and allowing mistakes. The artists work by hand into film shots by cutting and burning negatives and creating collages of layered shots. Their inspirations come from graffiti and meeting people as well as a range of human emotion. All the art work that has been created over the past year appears to the artists as a way of not giving up and being responsive to the world.
Kevin Parker graduated from NUCA in 2009 at the same time that Sophie Utting graduated from Darlington College of Arts.
