Exhibition of work by Ken Kiff RA

About

Turps Gallery, in association with ASC Gallery, presents Ken Kiff 'Man Painting'.

Kiff is especially important for us now. The internet has blasted everyone to a self-absorbed, atomised place. An artist that tries to hold a world together with compassion and humanity needs to be seen.

An exhibition of works produced over three decades split across both Turps Gallery and ASC Gallery, and accompanied by a full-colour catalogue.

Ken Kiff RA (1935-2001) initially studied pottery, then stained glass, before eventually turning to painting at the Hornsey School of Art, 1955-61. Later he taught at various art colleges including Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art. In 1991 he was elected a Royal Academician. Solo exhibitions include The Sequence, Sainsbury Centre, Norwich (2019); Young Gallery, Salisbury (2018), Marlborough Fine Art, London (2015), White Gallery, Brighton (2001); City Museum & Art Gallery, Bristol (1999). His work is featured in many public collections, including Tate, MoMA, the British Council, the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art and Göteborgs Konstmuseum, Gothenburg. His estate is represented by Marlborough Fine Art.
