The fascination which Kathryn Thomas has for space, it's objects and it's colours is probably no greater than the wonder felt by most of us at the activity taking place millions of miles above our earth. What makes Kathryn different is her ability to interpret what we all see and portray those images in oil paints onto tightly woven linen.
As part of her Lightyears series of exhibitions, Kathryn staged Lightyears Ago 2010 in April, an exhibition of her more traditional landscapes. Now, Lightyears Above 2010 provides her with an exciting opportunity to display her most recent Darkspace works of galaxies, planets and the aurora borealis.
