"john lewell | RECONNECTING" is a series of works derived from the artist's own street photographs which he has deconstructed then put back together in alternative compositions.
About
The artist says: "In the normal course of daily life individuals appear to dwell in separate worlds: their contemporaneity with others being purely coincidental. Time itself seems to be a personal possession, unique to the individual.
"This is especially true in the context of the consumerist world: among the malls, restaurants and cafés, where endless choices are made available to satisfy each person's individual taste."
John Lewell's artworks reflect these ideas, covering a spectrum of possibilities, some of them suggesting unease and dissociation, others harmony and intimacy.
The works are offered for sale to collectors in Limited Editions of 6. Alteratively, smaller low-cost prints are also available in Open Edition.
