About
Mignoni is pleased to present the gallery’s first solo exhibition with the American artist, Joel Shapiro (b.1941) on view from May 4th through July 1st. The exhibition consists of eight vibrant, colorful works on paper spanning from 1988 – 2022.
Joel Shapiro is known for his sculptures, but he has also developed a significant body of works on paper throughout his career. His paper works include drawings, woodcuts, and collages. Many of these serve as studies for his sculptures, exploring different ways to represent movement and balance within a two-dimensional space.
