Christopher Andreae will talk about his discoveries in researching his new book on one of the most influential and innovative Scottish painters, Joan Eardley. Eardley's paintings and drawings reflect urban and rural Scotland in an expressive visual language unlike any other artist's, and this lecture will also give a rare opportunity to see several of The Fleming Collecton's own Eardley works.
