Delve into Jim's imagination with 40 unique works. Jim’s paintings of British birdlife (as seen on Sky Art’s Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir’) will hang alongside surreal works drawing on his TV persona. Jim will be joining us on the night.

We’re thrilled to announce our forthcoming exhibition of new paintings by Jim Moir, known to many by his stage name “Vic Reeves”. Jim is a hugely versatile British artist renowned for his contributions to comedy, television, and the arts.
‘Hey Presto Swine!’ will feature 40 new works showcasing the breadth of Jim’s artistic talent.
While art always remained his first passion, from the 1980’s onwards Jim established himself as a household name for his TV comedy work. Many will have fond memories of shows like Vic Reeves Big Night Out, Shooting Stars, and The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, each packed with anarchic, surreal humour.
More recently viewers have witnessed Jim’s artistic talent in Sky Art’s ‘Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir’. A keen interest in the natural world has led Jim to create works that brilliantly capture British birdlife. These paintings complement his wonderfully eccentric and surreal artworks which, full of mischievous observations, draw a direct line from Jim’s TV comedy persona.
‘Hey Presto Swine!’, new work by Jim Moir, launches with a First View on Friday 20th October from 6pm. Jim will be joining us in the gallery to talk about his unique work.
