For its third season, the Marseille Photographic Center presents Picture for a While , a solo exhibition by Jean-Louis Garnell, which shows the recent journey of one of the major artists of contemporary photography in France. For more than thirty years, Jean-Louis Garnell has managed to keep a style, impose a freedom, logically trace a furrow to build a dense work, concentrated and open, This exhibition event presents sixteen sets of photographs - or extracts of sets - and a series of drawings. Most of the works are unpublished. They show the recent career of one of the major artists of contemporary photography in France. Since 1985, his works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions (National Center for Visual Arts, Centro for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci, Prato, Stuttgart Staatsgalerie, Winterthur Fotomuseum, Stuttgart Kunstverein, Lectoure Photography Center; BNF, Grand Palais, Rencontres d'Arles ...).
