i love Richmond exhibition targets the minds and the hearts of viewers. The modern contemporary colourful paintings were inspired by five blue plaques commemorating amazing people, the town's green spaces and river views. Jan Stevens's paintings are thought provoking, due to the familiar landmarks being seen from above or the side in the same paintings. Mixed views that work together to bring a sense of fresh, open and new views to be loved and positively enjoyed. Her painting, New Growth 2 was shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2013. Jan Stevens loves wide open views of rivers, water and green spaces, including golf courses. Her paintings are influenced by these loves, her early years living near the Helford River in Cornwall and her current life in Richmond. Entry to the private view on Saturday 2nd November is by a charitable donation of £10 per person in aid of the Mulberry Centre cancer charity. Jan chooses to support the Mulberry Centre because she appreciates their role in supporting people with an uncertain view through to a recharged, confident, brighter view. She is giving 20% of painting sales to the Mulberry Centre during the i Love Richmond exhibition 2 to 16 November 2013.
