We are delighted to present 'Escapism' a major new exhibition by Jamie Boyd an exciting young artist based near Falmouth. Jamie graduated with a first class degree in Fine Art from University College Falmouth in 2002 and completed his MA in Illustration in 2003. Since leaving university Jamie has received several awards including the Ferdinand Zweig Scholarship in 2003 and the Lynn Foundation Award in 2004, and more recently an A&P Art Residency at Falmouth Docks and the AA2A Residency at Plymouth University.Jamie's latest work takes a fresh look at the beauty and soulfulness of the landscapes around Falmouth docks. By painting in the early morning and at dusk Jamie has created images that draw you in and offer a moment of escapism. He has also captured local people involved in local events taking time out to get lost in the moment.
