An Exhibition of Artists Who Curate
About
Curator: noun cu·ra·tor ˈkyu̇r-ˌā-tər , ˈkyər- ; kyu̇-ˈrā- ; ˈkyu̇r-ə- , ˈkyər-
Galerie Protégé was founded in 2011 with the intent to provide opportunities to new and emerging artists. By the numbers, we have held 56 exhibitions and events, consisting of 223 individual artists to-date. None of this would be possible without the support of our squad of guest curators.
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines a curator as one who has the care and superintendence of something; especially: one in charge of a museum, zoo, or other place of exhibit. However, many of our guest curators also hold other employment, obligations, and are artists themselves.
This exhibition serves to celebrate their work, their practice, and their dedication to the arts community.
