A solo exhibition of abstract works by Ione Parkin RWA
About
Ione Parkin RWA explores themes of interconnectedness and diversity within the natural world. Her intricately balanced abstract paintings are contemplations on primal energy, chemical fusion and geological process. She seeks inspiration from varied environments and refers to satellite macro-imagery of Earth’s surface and radio-telescopic images of deep space. Her work celebrates the beauty of the raw elements of nature.
Ione has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally, including solo shows in Baltimore (USA), London, Cambridge, Bristol and her home city of Bath. Her work is in numerous private and corporate collections. She is an elected member of the Royal West of England Academy (RWA).
