An intensive introduction to the possibilities of cutting and constructing with different woods, with artist Sam Stead.
About
Over the weekend course participants will learn methods to:
– Cut with the bandsaw and jigsaw
– Construct wooden shapes to make sculptural forms
– Play and experiment with shape, structure and surface

Sam Stead is an artist based in Glasgow and works with a variety of materials but particularly enjoys working with wood. Sam graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2006 and worked as a Technician and Workshop Manager at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop until 2015.
