Into The Fold is a multi-disciplinary project comprising live events, an exhibition and publication by Camberwell Press

About

Participants include: Oli Boulton, Edgar–Walker, Europa, Mattia Giussani, Sam Jones, Christopher Lacy, Vanessa Periam, Laure Prouvost, Flaminia Rossi, Eilis Searson, Caz Slattery, Harry Stayt and Konstantinos Trichas.

Curated by Marios Stamatis and James Edgar.

Into the Fold is an ongoing project that questions the ideology of the studio and gallery space, materialising in the form of an exhibition and publication through a temporary and spontaneous community of practice.

This year Into the Fold will bring together a diverse range of emerging and established creative practitioners and thinkers from the world of art and design. These practitioners have worked and developed projects in collaboration with Camberwell Press in the past. The first three weeks of the project will consist of a series of lectures, workshops and events—open to all—to generate material and formulate an exhibition. This series of activities will explore and question ideas around the terms re-work, re-visit and re-imagine. The participants will re-enact a previously performed event and re-contextualise it for this year's Into the Fold. The results of this series of events will be exhibited in a setting specifically created by artists Lea Collet & Marios Stamatis for the upper floor of Camberwell Space Projects and become the content for a response in the form of a publication.

Camberwell Press is a London based studio and platform currently residing at Assembly Point –Camberwell Press is an affiliate of Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. The studio has various strands of activity: including events, design, research, publishing and is run by design associates, editorial associates, a director, studio manager and collaborators.
