Intersection is a joint show by photographers Jon Spencer and Oliver Woods. The show explores notions of public and private space, and ideas about taking a journey. Jon Spencer's work is about Victorian band stands; set in public parks and photographed from different viewpoints, each then layered together as single images. Oliver Woods has photographed the churches on Germany's Autobahn network. These are private spaces where drivers seek respite from the fast pace of Germany's motorways. In addition, both photographers have also made work about the shows location, Bethnal Green, which documents the intersection of cultures, history and people in the area.
