Taking inspiration from Branden Hookway’s recent theory of the Interface for MIT Press, Zero Wave present an evening of sound, performance, and moving image featuring Anat Ben David, Larry Achiampong, David Blandy, Stephen Cornford, Erica Scourti and more.

About

An evening of sound, performance, and moving image, featuring live performances by:

Anat Ben David presents  an electro-dynamic performance; songs, sound-texts and interactive visuals from Melech and other recent projects. Anat Ben David is a member of Chicks on Speed and the Art Rules Crew with Douglas Gordon.

Larry Achiampong & David Blandy As Biters, David Blandy and Larry Achiampong investigate what identity might mean in the post-colonial and post-mass media age by crate-digging through history, recycling already-sampled beats and reciting stolen rhymes.

Stephen Cornford  presents a  performance for four CRT televisions. Stephen Cornford is a research fellow at the Sonic Arts Research Unit at Oxford Brookes. He co-directs the Audiograft Festival and Consumer Waste record label.

Thomas Stone creates his immersive music using contrabassoon, samplers, and activated percussion. Blurring the boundaries between electronic and acoustic sound production the compositions explore themes of ritual and presence.
