About
Tuesday 19 February: Sets & Surroundings, 10.30–12.30
Take inspiration from the exhibition and outdoor site to create props and visuals to form the backdrop of the music video.
Wednesday 20 February: Characters & Costumes, 10.30–12.30
Play with identity and characters to create costumes, with the option to perform as part of the music video using projections.
Thursday 21 February: Sound & Recording, 10.30–12.30
Build on the characters to experiment with sound, music and lyrics that can be added to finalise the music video.
The workshops will contribute to making a unique music video in response to the opera and exhibition 'The View from Behind the Futuristic Rose Trellis', by artist-musicians Ravioli Me Away.
At the end of each workshop families will record what they have done. After all the workshops the music video will be compiled and shared online and with participants. Each workshop will explore different themes in relation to the exhibition and work in isolation. Families are therefore welcome to attend one, two, or all three workshops.
