INSIGHT: The Haptic Arts: What Future? Panel Discussion

About

Has growing interest and support for digital technology in the arts led to a decline in traditional workshop facilities and training? A panel of experts will discuss the long term effects of this policy and offer practical strategies for artists. Ӣ Have you needed to adapt to changes in technology and teach yourself new skills? Ӣ Have you wanted to learn traditional skills but been unable to find a course? Ӣ Have you been frustrated by the lack of workshop facilities? Ӣ Have you wondered where this is all going and how political policy may alter creativity? Come along to a stimulating debate where these issues are aired over a glass or two of wine. Panel: Peter Seddon: Deputy Head of School of Arts and Media University of Brighton. http://artsresearch.brighton.ac.uk/research/academic/seddon_peter Rosalind Davis: www.rosalinddavis.co.uk: Manager of Core Gallery: An Artist led dynamic gallery in Deptford, London AIR Council Member: AIR is a voice for artists in challenging times.
