UD is delighted to announce the return of its Industry Takeover All Dayer, uniting tomorrow's underground talent with today's most influential Black music culture leaders under one roof.

Taking place on 4th September at Protein Studios in Shoreditch, the event promises extraordinary and invaluable panel discussions, masterclasses and 1-to-1 sessions from leading music industry experts. This year, confirmed tastemakers include BBC1xtra Breakfast Show Presenter Nadia Jae, No Signal Presenter Jason ’Scully’ Kavuma, and Powerlist 100, MC and Entrepreneur J2K.

Dedicated to uncovering and uplifting the voices of now, TRENCH will join this year’s event, both as the official media partner and to host the panel, ‘20 Years of Grime’.

Supporting this year’s Industry Takeover All Dayer is UK music licensing company PPL. PPL licenses recorded music in the UK when it is played in public (shops, bars, nightclubs, offices etc.) or broadcast (BBC, commercial radio, commercial TV etc.) and ensures that revenue flows back to its members. These include both independent and major record companies, together with performers ranging from emerging grassroots artists through to established session musicians and globally renowned artists. In 2020 PPL collected £225.7 million. For the All Dayer event, PPL will curate a selected group of experts to share their knowledge and experience in a panel talk titled ‘Get Paid, Get Played’ with speakers soon to be announced.

Further partners include The BRIT Trust, PRS Foundation and Vivendi Create Joy, with opportunities to meet and engage with representatives from these organisations to be announced closer to the day.
