In Process: Explorers Event 2023

About

Celebrating the close of Explorers, this event will bring together national conversations about how cultural institutions can evolve into more caring and inclusive spaces. In Process will embrace agency in art, systems of care and different artist development practices. This event aspires to be non-didactic and accessible and will include a majority of contributors with lived experience of disability, neurodivergence or as caregivers as well as artists, studios and institutions from around the UK.

Support Collective – signposting and information sharing

Contributions from project partners:

ActionSpace, Autograph, Baltic, Intoart, MK Gallery, Outside In, Photoworks, Venture Arts

Tours of the Baltic exhibitions including Project Art Works Residential.

Quiet and sensory spaces, cafes, networking and conversation spaces.

Explorers is a 6 year programme of exhibitions, artist residencies, activism and conversation with galleries and supported studios, focusing on putting neurodivergent people at the centre of cultural life.

Explorers is supported by Arts Council England and Paul Hamlyn Foundation. This event is hosted by Project Art Works, a collective of neurodiverse artists and activists based in Hastings.
