In Parts is the first exhibition from Tazeen as a Red Head Gallery member! This show is a collaboration of her older and newer works with the same reoccuring motif: the cockroach.
About
Branded for repulsion with some redeeming qualities of resilience and survival, a cockroach as a motif serves as a social commentary on how the value of human life is reduced to that of a pest insect in today’s war, violence and hate-driven climate; Yet, it also narrates the everyday human potential of survival, resilience and triumphs over adversities. The works remind us that the responsibility to question, challenge, and learn lies within all of us. - Tazeen Qayyum
