Peter Lamb's range of subjects reflects his impulsive way of painting. A scene, a sensation, a piece of music, a photo, a mental image, can trigger the urge to paint. This spontaneity has resulted in an eclectic body of work. Landscapes figure predominantly as he is a keen hiker and nature lover. Land and sky, ancient sites, animals, significant light on objects, all these and more excite a sudden drive to visualise the experience in paint.
