Washington Garcia is proud to present work by London-based Hungarian artist Aron Tarjani, and Wales based Miranda Whall. If I open my eyes… is an investigation of the sexual rather than the erotic, and focuses on the meaning of mechanical preoccupation and dislocation. Tarjani interrogates a single yet economically brutal metaphor of desire, while Whall's animations feature figures and animals whose awkward pathos stems from their essential failure to respond to one another's actions.
