New Works by Ian Kirkpatrick
Ian Kirkpatrick draws on classical and contemporary iconography to produce intricate surfaces reflecting modern-day myths. He often decorates common objects such as cardboard boxes, paper plates and aluminium street signs as a way to explore Western society's fears, fantasies, and narratives.
Ian is an award-winning Canadian contemporary artist whose work has been exhibited across the UK and internationally, including recent shows in Montreal, Manchester, Halifax and London. He recently won a commendation in the CubeOpen 2011 exhibition, while a large-scale piece is currently touring the UK as part of the London 2012 Inspire Programme.
