Discover about weightlessness and why this unusual condition is so vital to understanding how planets are made.
In our Solar System there are 8 planets, and a myriad of moons asteroids and comets, not to mention over 3000 exoplanets that are known to be orbiting other stars in our local “galactic” neighbourhood. Yet astronomers still don’t know exactly how planets or their moons form. This talk will allow you to discover about weightlessness and why this unusual condition is so vital to understanding how planets are made.
Dr Helen Jane Fraser is Senior Lecturer in Astronomy at The Open University
Free entry, booking essential
A free exhibition tour will take place before the talk by Modern Art Oxford Duty Manager, Kay Sentance. Book for the tour here.
