Unsolicited Artist In Residence on the Pennine Way Trevor H. Smith on propulsion of thoughts and ideas produced by walking, what happens with memories after, longevity in friendship reaffirmed by the task of a ‘pilgrimage’, kit obsession, blisters and filtered self-presentation via social media..

About

Trevor H Smith is an artist and freelance writer, part of 2017-18 a-n Writer Development programme and Tate Exchange ‘Inventory of Behaviours' participant, studying MA Fine Art at Bristol UWE. He will talk about his recently completed residency walking the 268-mile National Trail, the Pennine Way during which Trevor set about exploring new ways of making work inspired by the walk.
With spoken word recordings, relating to identity in relation to place, writings will be read as well as created. Visual works resulting from the residency will be on display during the illustrated talk.
